Girish's professional journey began in 1973 when he took an active role in the family's road transport business. In a parallel venture, he also dedicated a decade to marketing the family-owned Coir Foam products. His astute leadership and commitment to the industry were recognized when he was elected President of the Bombay Goods Transport Association for the term 2010-11.

In 1980, Girish began a new chapter in his life, marrying Shashi. Their union was further blessed in 1984 with the arrival of twin children, both of whom pursued their higher education in the USA and now lead fulfilling lives with their families in Singapore and New York.
